The course Integrated English Pracice V is taught for the students of the foreign language majoring (Education). It  constitues a very important  course  in the base curriculum  in the version remote learning (modality Diurno). This subject has a total amount of 160 hours and  it belongs to the syllabus of the first semester of the school term.

The syllabus is designed with a flexible and creative perspective. It covers theoretical and practical learning tasks which will provide the  student̀s the necessary and  adequate communicative and professional competencies  for the sake of planning educative learning tasks within the teaching-learning process of the English language at any of the different subsystems of education.

The subject presents theoretical and mostly practical content and activities aimed to improve their writing abilities, especially when writing an essay, and to master the structure, characteristics, comprehension and writing of scientific texts. It is divided into 2 units. Each of them contained the information and practical exercises about the topic with printed and audiovisual materials that support the theme. At the end of each unit there is a written evaluation that summarizes what it has been shown, practiced and learned. The student will read and practice the content of each topic, consulting later the complementary bibliography organized per theme.

The current program is based on the communicative approach integrating the basic principles of the linguistic-investigative method in order to systematize and exercise the linguistic contents.


This guide will conduct students’ self-learning process and self-assessment of the subject, through theoretical and mostly practical content and activities aimed to improve their writing abilities, especially when writing summaries and paraphrasing other people’s words without plagiarizing, to master the structure and characteristics of a research paper, and finally complete their own research paper successfully. It is divided into 2 units (following unit 3 and 4). Each of them contained the information and practical exercises about the topic with printed and audiovisual materials that support the theme.

The objective is to process information and to write texts to develop competences for the construction of the scientific theory taking critical positions towards facts, social and natural phenomena; developing logical thinking expressed in written way.
